How we compare
Every saving we show is our own price measured against the typical market price of mattresses built the same way as ours. Here is exactly how that figure is worked out.
What we compare
We compare our price with the typical market price of mattresses at UK retailers that are built the same way as ours. Where we have named the brands that are the same standard as ours, we compare with those brands and with our own, and with nothing else. Otherwise, where we have a price group of the same construction we use that; where we do not, we use mattresses of the same construction class and a similar spring count.
Which retailers count
Every retailer behind a figure has been checked for the build it publishes, and we only count prices a shopper can actually pay. The highest quality mattress groups are measured only against retailers that sell at that level.
How we match them
By what is inside the mattress and not by name or brand. Retailers rename their ranges constantly, so a name tells you nothing about what you are actually buying.
Which prices count
The price any shopper can pay today for a mattress in stock. Prices include VAT and delivery, with no discount codes and no membership prices.
How current it is
The comparison updates daily, and it is hidden if it goes out of date.
